Grounds Officer/Gardener part-time
Good News Lutheran College a growing school located in Tarneit, part of the expanding Western suburbs of Melbourne, is seeking to employ an experienced Grounds Officer/Gardener.
This is a part-time role (overall two days per week, but there is some flexibility in actual hours) and the successful applicant will join the grounds/facilities team which consists of four people. The team maintains all day to day activities that includes general building maintenance, grounds maintenance and the college Oval. General maintenance includes manual handling of heavy items, supervision of contractors, operation of machinery and carrying out pre-planned maintenance activities.
The successful applicant will have:
- 2-3 Years ground maintenance experience including Turf management, proactive weed management and the college Oval maintenance.
- Gardening machinery knowledge and minor repair knowledge.
- Advanced landscaping skills with the skills to promote bio-diversity and health & wellbeing.
- Or be able to obtain, a Level 2 First Aid certificate and a Working with Children Check
An attractive salary, consistent with the Lutheran Education (Victorian Schools) Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018 will be provided to the successful applicant.
