Senior Snippets
The Senior Years at GNLC have had a great start to the academic year, as we have moved into the wonderful new building. At last! I hear you cry. We have all settled in and all members of the Senior Years community are enjoying the new space. The building has a wonderful ambience about it.
Students have returned to school looking really smart, and I congratulate them on that. Just a reminder that only one pair of earrings can be worn at any given time, either studs or sleepers, if in doubt seek advice from PC teachers who have a photograph of the appropriate styles.
As week make our way into this academic year, let us remember:
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
PASTORAL CARE
The pastoral care in the Senior Years is based on the Lutheran Education framework for leadership, Growing Deep. This term students will be focusing on the following:
Growing oneself
Year 10 – Building self awareness.
Year 11 – Learning and adapting.
Year 12 – Living positively.
MIDDLE/SENIOR SCHOOL MUSICAL
Rehearsals are already under way and are sounding amazing. Our musical this year is, Once on this Island. Students have really embraced the story telling in this show, and love the music. Watch this space for further information on dates.
VET
Our VET students have stared their courses and can be seen departing the college on Wednesdays and Fridays, depending on their Year level and subjects.
God bless.
