Welcome to the end of a jam-packed first term! I hope you all enjoyed spending time with your children sometime over the past two weeks at a Student Led Conference.
My thanks to all the parents who took up these opportunities to further support their child’s learning and an even bigger thanks to our hard working staff who always spend a great deal of time leading up to these nights helping their students reflect, prepare, and present. They are always such an enjoyable and positive experience to wander around and be a part of. Also, it was great to see our students taking part in our Cross Country event earlier this week. A big thank you to Mrs Laura Aldrich and other members of the PE team for their work organising and running this event.
We sadly say farewell to Mrs Katrina Montgomery, this week, as she heads off to Perth to begin teaching at Living Waters Lutheran College next term. Mrs Montgomery has been at the College since 2015, joining us as we were heading into Senior Schooling and has been an important part of the team helping build and establish our higher year levels in that time. We wish her and her husband all the very best as they look at undertaking their first drive across the Nullabor in the coming weeks.
Just a reminder that our first day back in Term Two will be a Monday timetable to compensate for the several other Mondays that we miss during the semester. In this way, we try to keep the number of lessons each subject loses during the course of a semester, as equal as we can. In our first week back, we also see ANZAC Day on Thursday. As the College is closed on that day, we will commemorate the day on Wednesday 24th at a Service beginning shortly after 8:50am in the morning. Weather permitting, this will take place around our recently established lone pine and poppy garden. We warmly welcome parents and friends to come along and join us at this time.
Wishing you all a blessed Easter. I pray you have a safe and enjoyable break with family and friends.
