Middle Years Report Term 1 - Week 9 | 4 April 2019

Middle School Camp Program

Camps are such an integral component of Middle School here at GNLC. They provide our students with the amazing opportunity to develop and strengthen their friendships in their year level. Each camp allows the students to grow personally and to feel as though they have learnt something about themselves during that time. We deliberately set up our camps to match up with the themes we have in each year level.

Our camps have also deliberately been placed early in Term One as this helps to set up a really cohesive and close-knit group who will grow stronger together as a cohort. We know that our Middle School Camp program helps our students to grow in Mind, Body and Soul which is why we place such an emphasis on these experiences.

With the Year 6 students heading to Canberra last week, that was the final Middle School camp for 2019. All staff and students have enjoyed their camp experiences this term and we are thankful for the learning that has taken place. Friendships have been developed and strengthened and these will continue to flourish for the remainder of the year.

We are all so grateful for the wonderful opportunities we are given to learn about ourselves and each other during these exciting times. God has blessed us and kept us safe on all camps and He will continue to provide amazing learning experiences for us throughout this year.
