Due to strong and sustained demand for places at all year levels, Good News Lutheran College is thrilled to announce that we have opened a new campus.
The campus will enable more students from Melbourne’s fast-growing west to experience a Good News education, grounded in faith, purpose and our values of grace, integrity, courage and respect.

Good News Lutheran College Mambourin commenced in 2023 with a limited number of Prep and Year 1 classes.
In 2023 and 2024, students enrolled at Good News Lutheran College Mambourin will undertake their classes at the Tarneit campus while the Mambourin facilities are being constructed.
Classes on site at the Mambourin Campus will commence in 2025, for students from Prep – Year 6.
The Mambourin campus will introduce year level classes on a phased basis. This strategy is based on projected demand for student places in the region, as well as management of waiting lists.

Applications for enrolment are now being accepted for places in Prep to Year 2 in 2024. These students will be taught by dedicated staff at the Good News Lutheran College Tarneit campus, while our Mambourin campus is being constructed.
Our vision includes building a close-knit, supportive learning environment for our Mambourin students. We will foster a welcoming, inclusive community at Tarneit as we prepare our founding students to move across to the Mambourin campus in 2025.

Our Good News Lutheran College Mambourin campus will open in 2025, however we will begin delivering classes to Prep and Year 1 students in 2023 at our Tarneit campus.
The new campus is located in the Mambourin Estate, on the corner of Plane Avenue and Barrabool Boulevard, Mambourin.

If your child is already on the waiting list for our Tarneit campus and you accept a position for them at our Mambourin campus, you will need to advise us if you wish to keep their name on the Tarneit waiting list.
If you wish to enrol your child(ren) at Good News Lutheran College Mambourin, the first step is to complete the enrolment form. Once we receive your enrolment form, a member of the enrolment team will contact you directly to complete the enrolment application process. This includes payment of a $125 enrolment application fee.
To complete your child’s enrolment application for Good News Lutheran College Mambourin, a $125 enrolment application fee is payable. This fee is payable regardless of whether your child is already on the waiting list for Good News Lutheran College Tarneit.

When our Mambourin campus opens in 2025, classes will be offered for students in Prep – Year 6.
Students starting in 2023 will be able to complete their schooling at Good News Lutheran College Mambourin. Prep – Year 6 classes will be offered on site at our Mambourin campus from 2025. Our vision for Good News Lutheran College Mambourin is that the campus will offer Years 7 – 12 in the future.
Yes. Good News Lutheran College will deliver the same faith and values-based education at both campuses. Guided by our Lutheran foundations and ethos, the education we provide at Good News is grounded in faith, purpose and our College-wide values of Grace, Integrity, Courage and Respect. Our teaching and learning philosophy is informed by three overarching principles:

A welcoming and engaging Prep Transition Program will be provided for our 2024 Mambourin Prep students, to ensure their experience of starting school is positive. Families will be provided with full details at the time of enrolment confirmation.
For our 2024 Mambourin Year 1 students, a welcome and induction program will form part of their first week at Good News Lutheran College Mambourin. Families will be provided with further details at the time of enrolment confirmation.
Students who are starting their Mambourin learning journey at Tarneit (in 2023 and 2024) will form their own dedicated community. They will share the Tarneit campus.
We anticipate that all Mambourin students who begin classes at Tarneit will move across to the new Mambourin campus when it opens in 2025. If your child is already on the waiting list for our Tarneit campus and you accept a position for them at our Mambourin campus, you will need to advise us if you wish to keep their name on the Tarneit waiting list.
We are very open to that possibility and would encourage parents to pre-enrol their older children to ensure a place is saved. Siblings always get priority placements. Please complete the enrolment form for any children you wish to be considered for a place at Mambourin in 2025.
Mambourin students undertaking classes at Tarneit in 2023 and 2024 will have access to the Tarneit campus facilities, however we are planning a separate playground and toilet facilities.
A College Masterplan is underway to inform the construction of a contemporary learning environment at Mambourin, which will feature purpose-built classrooms, play areas, sports fields and specialist facilities.
Yes. Our Mambourin students will engage in the same curriculum offerings as the Tarneit students.
The Mambourin campus curriculum offering will be the same as what’s offered at our Tarneit campus. This incorporates the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program, which includes a language other than English and Christian Studies along with PE, Art and Music.
Yes. OSH Club will be available at Tarneit for students from both the Mambourin and Tarneit campuses.
