Head of Learning Enrichment
Learning Enrichment is provided for all students so that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Learning Enrichment is for students who:
have been formally diagnosed, or are imputed, to have a learning difficulty or disability
have consistent difficulties understanding concepts within the curriculum
require extension within one or more areas of the curriculum.
have social and emotional needs
have been referred by teachers and/or parents who have concerns about the student’s level of achievement.
What does Learning Enrichment do?
Referring and liaising with the School Counsellor, Speech and Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and other outside specialists and services.
Working collaboratively with teachers to develop Individual Learning Plans for specific students
Withdrawing small groups and individuals to assist with curriculum difficulties
Providing LEOs to assist students in the classroom
Assist teachers with the differentiation of curriculum, implementation of accommodations and adjustments and developing of modified programs to cater for the needs of students
Coordinating extra-curricular activities across the school, including extension programs.
Gathering and collating information for the National Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
Applying for State Support Funding
Applying for special conditions for exams, e.g., NAPLAN and VCE
