The GNLC bus fleet has been established to improve our student’s journey to and from the College, as well as provide transport for excursions. Our modern bus fleet includes: a 57-seater, a 41-seater, a 31-seater and 2 x 11-Seaters. Currently the three larger buses travel approximately 90-95 kilometres each day for students. The current fleet of buses is proportionate to the numbers of students using the service and is constantly reviewed in line with projected student growth and new housing estate demands.
Future additions to the fleet will undertake considerable sustainable reviews including electric vehicles. The College has an extensive solar network that can support charging of electric vehicles.
Our buses are equipped with the RollCall system which allows parents to see when their child/ren have ‘fobbed on’ and ‘fobbed off’ the bus using their bus fobs (provided by RollCall/College). The system allows parents to live track the bus, all from the RollCall mobile app.
The RollCall map below, shows current bus routes, and includes both the AM pick up and PM drop off times and locations.
The 2023 fees for a full year of bus travel are $1,700 per student for full time travel. Casual travel will be charged $8 per trip for one-off trips only. Casual travel is not always available due to limited seating capacity and is only by arrangement with the Bus Coordinator by emailing bus@goodnews.vic.edu.au. The cost for using the bus service will be added to the school fees as a separate entry.
