Enrolment Procedures

We would love you to consider enrolling your child at Good News. Outlined below is the standard process for doing so.  If you have any questions or queries at all please, feel free to contact us.

 

The Enrolment Process

 

Step 1

Collect an Enrolment Application Form available from the College office or download a PDF copy by clicking here.

Step 2

Complete the Enrolment Application Form.

Step 3

Attach a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport. For children born overseas a copy of current visa document will also be required. Children must be 5 years of age by April 30th of the year of intended enrolment into the Prep class.

Step 4

Attach a copy of your child's Immunisation History Statement.

Step 5

Submit all documents as outlined above at the College Office at which time you will be required to pay a non-refundable Application Fee.

Step 6

Depending on student numbers in the year level you are applying for, an interview with a Head of School or the Principal will be arranged for parents/caregivers and the child, when a suitable place is available.

Step 7

An Enrolment Bond will be payable to secure your child's position at the time an offer is made and enrolment is accepted. This bond is held in trust for the duration of the student’s time at the College.

  

 Available Vacancies

 Please note that we have waiting lists for a number of year levels.  Limited positions exist in some Middle and Senior School Year levels currently, along with Year 7 in 2017.

Prep Places

Applications for Prep enrolment are particularly high and while you are still welcome to have your child placed on the waiting list, enrolments are now closed for 2017 and a significant waiting list currently exists for 2018. Limited Prep places for 2020 still exist.  The College recommends that families consider submitting an application for Prep enrolment before your child reaches the age of three to improve the likelihood of being successful, as we receive significantly more applications than we have positions for.
